Texture

Wall and ceiling texture in Corpus Christi, matched to spec.

The compliment a texture job wants is silence: nobody can tell where the old wall stops and the new one starts. New work or renovation, we texture to the spec and match what's already there.

What texture does

Texture is how a wall hides the small stuff and stands up to daily use. We texture walls and ceilings, new work or renovation, across the Coastal Bend.

It comes after tape and float and before paint. We do all three.

Working with us

Why GCs hand us their texture.

We match what's already thereOn renovations and finish-out, the patch disappears into the wall around it. That's the whole job.
We do the coats on either sideIt's our tape and float underneath and our paint on top. Nobody to wait on, nobody to blame.
The third floor matches the firstOne company, one standard, so the last room matches the lobby.

Textures

Pick a texture, see the finish.

The common commercial textures, side by side in the same light. Your spec names one. We match it.

Orange peel

Looks like
A fine, even, slightly bumpy finish, like the skin of an orange.
Where it fits
Offices, corridors and classrooms. Quiet, consistent, and forgiving of small flaws.

Want it smooth instead? That's a Level 5 finish.

Where we do it

Texture for every kind of building.

Every building asks something different of its walls and ceilings. Here's what we keep in mind on each.

Questions

Texture, answered.

Which textures do you do?

The common commercial textures, including orange peel, knockdown, skip trowel and light splatter, on walls and ceilings. If your spec calls for something else, send it over. For smooth walls, we finish to Level 4 or Level 5, per your spec.

Can you match existing texture?

Yes. On renovations and tenant finish-out we match the texture that's already on the walls and ceilings, so new work blends in.

Do you texture ceilings as well as walls?

Yes. We texture both walls and ceilings, new work or renovation.

Should I specify texture or a smooth finish?

Texture hides small flaws and holds up to daily use, which suits offices, corridors and back-of-house. Smooth walls, finished to Level 5, suit gloss paint and critical lighting. Your architect's spec decides, and we finish to it either way.

What drywall finish level goes under texture?

Generally Level 3 under medium or heavy texture and Level 4 under light texture. Your spec sets it, and we do the tape and float too.

Do you paint after you texture?

Yes. We do tape and float, texture and paint, in that order, so you get one number, one call, and nobody pointing fingers at punch.

Can you texture in occupied buildings?

Yes. We work in occupied hospitals, schools and offices and follow dust and infection-control procedures.

Do you work after hours?

Yes, when the schedule needs it. We work Monday to Saturday, and after hours or long hours when that's what it takes to hit your dates.

Do you handle texture repairs and patch-and-match?

Yes. We handle repairs and punch lists, and match the texture so the patch disappears.

Where do you work?

Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend, including Nueces, San Patricio, Aransas, Kleberg, Jim Wells, Refugio and Bee counties, plus McAllen, Harlingen and Brownsville in the Rio Grande Valley.
